Loldia Primary School report
Date Posted: 07/02/2010
Mary Martin and Sandie Edmeades have just returned from visiting the school. Whilst they were there they awarded 25 pupils with their scholarships to secondary school.
The scholars are thrilled to have been sponsored onto their new schools and I feel quite sure that they will all make the best of the opportunity that they have been given. The 8 girls have opted to go to Karima Girls High School which is in North Kinangop whilst the boys will be attending various schools - the furthest away being Eldoret.
Loldia Primary School continues to thrive and finished third in the district tables (they promise to come first next year!) But there is no reason for complacency as there is still much to do at the school and daily issues to overcome.
The whole area has benifited from some rain and is a little greener but the water levels in the Lakes at Nakuru and Naivasha are still very low - hopefully this will improve as the year continues and the "big rains" forecast in April arrive.
Everyone at the Loldia School Fund would like to pass on our thanks to our supporters and to this years sponsors - your generosity is giving hope and making a huge difference to the lives of these children .
